In The Ugly Truth, Gerald Butler plays Mike Alexander, host of a TV segment titled "The Ugly Truth". The story centers on a romantically challenged morning show producer (Katherine Heigl) who is reluctantly embroiled by her chauvinistic correspondent (Butler) in a series of outrageous tests to prove his theories on relationships and help her find love.
